I have an interview today at a restaurant around the corner. I'm not too terribly excited about it because I don't think that the place gets a whole lot of business. It's really fancy and it's in an old building though so I'm hoping it will work out. It can't hurt to have a little extra money coming in.
In other news: I pulled out and examined all of my chainmaille stuff today. I still dream of becoming self employed and I haven't forgotten that at all. The first step was getting out of my hometown where I had fallen into a lazy rut and gotten too comfortable at a less than fulfilling desk job. Now that I'm out in the world and my job is a little less involved, I'm not so intimidated by the idea of trying to phase in self employment. I'm all settled now and I have a decent amount of time on my hands, I can't think of a better time to make a go of it. I still can't believe that I have such an open ended life right now! It's positively exhilarating to think that I could be ANYWHERE in a month or a year or 5 years.
I'm playing around with some different ideas for how I could sell my chainmaille and any other things that I make I also make other jewelry. I'd love to sell online but I'm not 100% sure about that right now. I kind of like the idea of selling at craft fairs because it's all very cut and dry. Exclusively selling through either would limit me though, so I really want to take my time and decide carefully. The thing I'm trying to focus on right now is not biting off more than I can chew. I have a lot that I'm working on right now and I definitely want to have time to pursue music and writing.
If I play my cards right, I could end up with a pretty sweet deal :)
