You never know how much food you have at home until you run out of money and can't order out....haha. I met with my new managers on Monday and filled out paperwork for my new job. Official employment commences this Friday. I'm both anxious and eager to make some money and settle in to what I hope will be an enjoyable new job. I'll be making $6 an hour! That was a pleasant surprise. I know that probably doesn't sound like much but most servers in MD make around $3.25 an hour because it's assumed that tips will make up for the rest. I'll still be making tips but since working in a hotel restaurant requires more than working in a regular one (ie: room service deliveries), there's a little extra dough in it for me. Having a paycheck even a teeny tiny one will be a welcome addition to my budget.
The vet cancelled AGAIN! Kind of. They called, they asked if the cats were eating, drinking and using the restroom properly, which they are. I guess going through an ASPCA clinic means that they have other priorities. Basically they asked to reschedule since the cats aren't in distress. How could I say "no" when they have animals that need immediate attention? Bringing 5 cats in for blood tests is not a short, uncomplicated thing. I get it.
On a happier note: I took some photos of the gorgeous library that I've been haunting since I discovered how close it is! Isn't it lovely?
