So, it's Monday.

Hello, lovelies.

It's really freaking me out that January is almost half over!!! I haven't even read ONE book this month and I really want to get to my goal of 2 books a month all year long. Looks like I'll have to be a reading machine for the rest of the week.

I'm starting to feel slightly better about my recent situation and the slump that I've been in. Maybe I'm getting used to it or maybe, slowly, things are getting back to normal. The weekend was restorative in so many ways. I realized on Friday night that I hadn't been at my apartment, other than to sleep, for a few WEEKS! I love visitng VA beach but I'm not shocked that spending one weekend at home with all of my antiques, my books, my kitties and my Ryan did me some good. I also got to see my parents for a little bit, which always makes me feel better.

Mostly, I spent the weekend just breathing, rethinking a lot of things, making plans for the future, and pigging out. Eating junk food all day long for two and a half days was definitely my favorite part.

I'm crossing my fingers for a boring, pensive week that will allow me to catch up on things and ease back into my old routines...or maybe find some new ones.

How was your weekend? How are you doing so far on your New Year's resolutions?

  1. I'm glad you're feeling better girlie!
As much as I like to be away from home and having adventures, I need the rest and thinking time at home.
You just needed down time instead of going, going, going..
I get anxious when I'm out too much. Bet I know how you feel.

  2. Darling, I just read your previous posts and I'm so sorry you are in a bit of a slump. I'm glad your weekend helped a bit. Please know you can always send me a note if you ever want to chat or vent. ;)

I am not doing well at all on my resolutions. The only thing I have done for my etsy store is sketched a bit and I bought a printer that I have yet to set up and try out...we'll see how things go.

Be gentle with yourself, my dear. And happy non-stop reading! :)

    xx, C

  4. I am glad things are coming up well! :) I am hoping for a quiet week too- learning how to deal with more on top of more has been really interesting.
I love that feeling of going home- I envision after I go back to my parents for the first time coming back to my apartment will be the first time this place feels like home.

  7. Hey darlin! It's been a while, but I'm getting back in the groove of blogging and finally having my re-vamp done. It seems from this post that things have been a little rough on you also. I'm about to read through and catch up with what's going on, but just wanted to say hey! I miss my favorite blogger gals!
