New design!

Hi!

Notice anything different? A new blog design! It was a really big decision but I felt the need to go for something more simple. I also wanted to stretch my design muscles small as they are and attempt a self made layout. Things have been a little whacky around these parts for the past couple of hours while I tried to figure everything out. It's still a little rough around the edges but unlike my previous design, I did it by myself!

I used online photo editing and an html textbook that I bought off of ebay...it was all VERY professional hahaha. I got SO lost halfway through the links to my pages weren't working and had a moment of panic over the thought that I had messed up a beautiful design for nothing. After some hair pulling and curse word muttering through gritted teeth, I'm pretty happy with it. I hope you are too! I especially like that my wonderful sponsors have the top spot on my sidebar!

I know it isn't as professional as my last design but it's all me and I hope that it will do for now. I'm looking forward to picking up more and more html experience and improving on it as time goes by.

  5. That is too funny, I am doing the same thing this weekend. I am trying a different layout and making my design. It feels so satisfying when you do it yourself. I think it looks great!

  7. It looks really great :-)
    I've done a couple of total redesigns before and they can be very nerve-wracking, very intense, and liable to horrendous moments when nothing works! I've yet to embark on a total overhaul on my blog but it's on my list...it just takes a while for my head to start thinking in html again ;-)

  15. this really looks amazing!! i did my design too, and it feels sooo good once the nausea wears off and you realize everything works!! google is absolutely amazing when it comes to html help, in case you ever accidentally throw your help book out the window ;) love the new design, it looks so classy its definitely you!

    I really loved reading this post since I could picture myself completely in it! :) I remember a year and a half ago, when I started blogging, I had absolutely no experience when it comes to HTML and CSS, and now, I even make flash pages! My blog layout is also completely made by ME. And you're right, no matter how good designs by others are, the best ones are which came from you! And as time goes by you will figure out more and more stuff for your blog. I wish you a lot of luck on your way!
