Words to live by.

I can't believe I'm 23 and it's about to be 2013. It's been a crazy journey and I'm just so excited for what comes next!

My birthday was so wonderful, my parents got me an updated version of my beloved Subaru station wagon, Cliff. I've had Cliff since I moved out so I knew my next car would have to have as much character as he does and my parents NAILED IT. My new subie is an 01 Outback and I've named him Stuart. Stu for short. It was love at first sight!!

Christmas was equally fantastic. I got some new books and some new teacups woooohoooo!!!    My parents know me so well. I got so many other thoughtful gifts but more importantly, I got to spend time with my family and I am left feeling renewed and very peaceful.

I think this state of mind is the perfect place to jot down some resolutions for being 23 and for the new year, that way when I look back on them throughout the year, I'll be reminded of how much hope I had for the future.

I, of course, wanted to add things like "eat healthy" and "save a couple thou for a trip to Europe" but I'm pretty happy with the simplicity of my resolutions this year and how they should will all help me be a happier person as well as someone who makes other happy.

I hope that every one of you had safe, warm, happy Christmases and I can't wait to start the New Year!!!

If you've posted your resolutions, link me!! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

  15. I love your goals for 2013! I once read the book, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff and It's All Small Stuff. It's because of that book that I no longer get frustrated on the road, around bad drivers, now I just laugh. Really it made me look at everything and just laugh, be happy and know I'm in control of my emotions. No one makes me feel unhappy, sad, scared, joyous but me. It's a fantastic book that I highly recommend! :) Here are my goals for 2013, Dear 2013, I pledge to...
